No machine Ice-Cream

Easy, fast, cheap, UPF free, vegan options and no fancy machine needed!

Well you would think I had carefully planned this wouldn’t you - an ice cream post on the hottest day of the year?! Sadly, I’m not that organised, nor can I forsee the weather. And anyway, rumour has it that ‘some people’ don’t have to have hot weather to eat ice cream. They can do it quite happily - or sometimes unhappily - in the midst of winter.

But here is the bad news. It’s almost always 100% UPF central.

But the good news is, I’ve been experimenting with some easy alternatives, and you don’t even need an ice-cream machine or a degree in custard production.

Better still, even the most expensive version is a third of the price of Ben and Jerry.
